So just to clarify, this is what I'm presented with whilst on autotune. Nada

Manual tuning doesn't register anything with hard or soft buttons

All except this one channel...

Having two L322s is paranoia inducing enough without the thought of me being surveilled whilst I fail at tuning a telly Crying or Very sad

So the dealer has responded to my issue with

"AH42-19A164-AA is a rear entertainment module and

AH42-19C063-AE is a TV tuner module

They look totally different. Please advise."

Not sure how respond Confused

Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. Though only from google searches...

Looked to me like you posted a pic of your unit and it looks like the rectangular rear entertainment module that was on the eBay pic I put up... from looking at the indents in the case, the correct unit is square, and a different part number to your label....

Does your car have rear entertainment fitted?

I’m not sure you have located your tv unit yet....

Might be wrong... just going off the pics and google.

It does have RSE and the flat, rectangular unit I removed is beneath the DVD changer slotted down lengthways.

I'm more confused than before but perhaps you are right, I haven't actually located the TV tuner yet

Right, that’s easy then, you are looking at the wrong unit. You need to find the square TV unit and go from there. I recon you are looking at your RSE module instead.

I have RSE too, I can’t remember if you can search TV channels from the rear screens... don’t think you can, or might have been worth a go.

Mine gave a similarly blank set of on screen keys (and not even a fixed channel/picture in my case) when I bought my 2011 5.0 S/C about 3 years ago, and I was asking questions here: https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic46293.html .

As far as I could find, the tuner seemed knackered, and nothing would make it work again. I managed to pick up another off Ebay, as above you do need to be very careful with the country/region part number if you want it to work in the UK, as at that time there were loads of Japanese spec ones being advertised. But the one I picked up was actually from an RRS, and works perfectly. It is the same unit/casing, but in the RRS mounts from the top as opposed to the sides, and so I had the tap out the pre-drilled holes in the sides to accept the L322 mounting bolts. Beyond that, a like for like fit, and no further issues.

Thanks Paul, that is good to know. Worth a try in my case as these niggles eat away at my automotive OCD.

Managed to get to the tuner to confirm the part number

Sooooo, the dealer agreed to send me a replacement tuner (bought from eBay) with corresponding part number. It came through the post 10 minutes ago and I fit it immediately and....

Now it's stuck on 4 Music. I think I preferred it being stuck on a news channel.

Same issue as before, no options to tune, just one channel albeit crystal clear reception. Soft and hard buttons make no attempt to manual tune and auto tune remains blank.

So, two different tuners, both have great reception albeit for only a single channel of differing broadcast. I am bemused.
