Gave it some proper off road time, probably for the first time in it's life! Razz

Took her for an MOT, passed with two advisories Brake lines rusty and a new one slightly weak handbrake.

Brake lines are in my list to do this year, the handbrake I will sort out next nice day.

Drove mine for the first time in over 3 months after driving some hideous Toyota thing round the UAE.

I’d almost forgotten how nice it is.

Nothing much done, changed the wheel centre caps and tyre valve caps with cheapo Ebay stuff, as the old ones were water damaged, or missing. Weird that 2 centre caps fitted tightly and 2 are loose, still it looks better.

Bigger news was I was tempted to keep my L322 for best and keep my Renault for continued thrashing down dirty country lanes on dog walk duty, but the MOT run out all of a sudden so my nice shiny L322 is now my daily ride.

In the last week my wife had a bottle of pop explode on her in the passenger seat, causing wails of outrage from me, THEN she started eating a flake, a FLAKE in an ivory car. Near divorce there. Popped to my daughters and the furry one decided that he'd jump his wet, muddy self into the rear seat.

Now the dogs in the back going to the woods daily, down narrow country lanes and rutted tracks, I'm regularly on the bank squeezing past HGVS at what feels like 45 degrees, and the old bus is now muddy, with eau de damp dog inside. To top it off his furry lordship decided to try to jump up, and aborted with his rear paws scrabbling on the paintwork.

I guess its broken in now Laughing Encourage alternative fuels, use all the petrol!

I love the newly polished sparkle of Baltic blue on a crisp winters day.

Not bad for 11 years old, and even cleaner underneath, the Dinitrol is the best investment I’ve made , road dirt just hoses off it.

Not much really but;
Activated standard DLR with the GAP IID tool. Seems to just be some white LED's around the main beam.
Routed the mobile phone and dash cam wires away inside the central console unit so they were not coming out of the top of the main storage unit (no wires showing now) 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Fixed some programming so I have my auto full beams back, also got my parking sensors back, and reprogrammed the buttons of my steering wheel as for some daft reason I had not done that yet with my naviplus.

Then used it for what I bought it for, a tip runner. Cleared out an old bed room and got rid of a bed frame, wardrobe and an Oled tv.

Good little car. Tomorrow it will have an easier life. I’m giving it a little trip on a boat 🤪

Changed the flickering reverse light bulb

Finally replaced the flickering rear light bulb on the reversing light after 3 years of thinking it was meant to flash Laughing

Put some custom number plates on my car. Nicely colour coordinated now. And with legal UK badges.

South Africa 2005 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Last week I noticed HDC program not available on my dash, and, later my brake lights were permanently on!
Stripped out and replaced the brake light switch, along with a clean of the LCM module but no joy!!
The problem is still there!!
Currently shopping for the LCM board to be repaired or another LCM!!
On a positive, I have just replaced all the gas struts on the bonnet and the tailgate.
Long overdue and, TBH, forgotten about, until.....you guessed it!
Bonnet slammed shut, due to the poor struts, and locked me out of the vehicle and the battery went flat!!
Then I find the manual key opening doesn't work!!
Shocked Shocked Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Embarassed Embarassed '

Lots of forum and google later, got the bonnet open and recharged the battery for access!!

Treating my FFRR to a little cruise. Escape the UK under the cover of darkness. Had to quickly change from the eurotunnel to a ferry to go to my full lockdown home country.

Replaced the space saver with a full size matching wheel and tyre. 2 years ago to the day nearly had a puncture ( nail) on the M1 3 hr wait for AA, then drive to a local tyre fitter on the space saver to find they don't have a replacement so had to buy the cheapest replacement to allow me to get to my destination 100+ miles away . Never again!!! 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
