Discovered the unparalleld joy of heated seats, a heated steering wheel and most importantly heated windscreen!

So glad I finally bit the bullet and bought an L322. 2006 L322 Vogue SE 4.2

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Fuji White

Over the last four days, done 600mi enjoyable miles in mine with wife and dog. Purred along beautifully. Reported just under 40MPG average on the Guess-O-Meter on the dash, worked out to 35.63MPG brim-to-brim real MPG.

Over the moon with that. Had up to 41MPG on the GOM at one point. 2012 (L322) 4.4TDV8 Vogue SE, RSE, Fuji White over Arabica.

De-tinted the new (to me) Range Rover.

Now I have the fun task of cleaning up all the glue on the front windows (luckily the sides all came off cleanly).

Still looking sharp for an old car with 233,000miles

2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Adriatic Blue

Finally got round to fitting the straight swap 88 degree thermostat from Behr TI 33 88 I had delivered last year.

Whilst doing that did a full coolant change, which I'd been dreading after reading all of the issues people had with bleeding the M62 engine. Glad to say it's working brilliantly and the car seems so much quieter.

Took it on a run to Somerset and back 330 miles, where it averaged 21.6 mpg on a mixture of motorway (80mph) and back roads.

Changed front and rear diff oils and transfer case fluid. The big syringe I bought for the job made it clean and quick, all done in an hour on the driveway. 2012 (L322) 4.4TDV8 Vogue SE, RSE, Fuji White over Arabica.

Upgraded my reverse lights to the LED units, I know they’re not to everyone’s taste and I was a little hesitant at first but now they’re on I think they look ok.

Not today but Friday, went to westerleigh crematorium to say a fond farewell to my fellow truck driver mark, who sadly passed away suddenly at the ferry check-in booth in Dover port a few weeks ago. Then to the wake at kendleshire golf club. Gone but not forgotten.

Put 12 years of dealer service history into a sleeved folder in date order, which was rather satisfying to do.

Over 20k spent at Stratstone Nottingham….

While compiling the above I had noticed that despite its yearly visits to the main dealer the air filter and fuel filter had not been changed since 2020, so after a lot of hassle getting the rusted air box screws out me and a mechanic mate sorted it out.

Found a rear parcel shelf for reclining seats, gave it a clean up and dyed it black, looks brand new now and completes the rear.
