How? It's a physical wire that gets cut as the pad wears... 

Yes but doesn't the light stay on until the ignition has cycled a few times.. or is that a different car I'm thinking of... its deffo not my 110  2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS

Sorry Dan It is a v8 The original car i was getting was a td6, had the deposit on it was picking all arrange and everything then he backed out!!

Also after being in a v8 didnt think the td6 was going to cut it for me !!!!

well even when you change the faulty brake wear indicator the fault stays logged so i had to clear it via obdll
mind you i did a quick fix on my wear sensor i just joined the wires until i get a new one  "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

Collected my FFRR from the dealers this evening now the airbag system is finally fixed, I'm missing the MY2010 Autobiography interior and toys, but loving my 4.2 Supercharged engine.
