Swopped out the ECU but system still dead - any fault tracing diagnostic procedure out there or even a circuit diagram?

Likely to be the multi plug pins, if any corrosion was present. Mine was very intermittent, and would report sensors all over the shop (which all checked out ok). I got a replacement plug from a breaker (from a Jag, to avoid getting another corroded plug) and replaced the pins that looked corroded. Works properly now.

Correct. On mine the power/CANbus plug was fine, it was the sensor one that was affected.

Pulled the plugs apart and all the connectors look clean and corrosion free so looks like the wiring to the sensors under the bumpers to check next although increasingly not too bothered by a non working parking assist. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
