Whats my Value? 2010 L322 4.4TDV8 Autobiography

Hi all

I have just spent a lot of money on my L322 and I am swithering on selling it or not. I am undecided but what do you recon the current value is? interested as they go from £15000-£20000 online with similar age and miles - although I have just done mega work to mine and cant find another one with the same history??

Here is the details

2010 Nov L322 Autobiography 4.4 TDV8
third owner (I bought it in 2020)
Galway Green with original autobiography alloys
good level of history
121,000 miles
12 months MOT - no advisories
Just had full service
Everything works as it should
V5, private reg, one key and service history all included

I am unsure whether I want to sell it or not but I am curious to what people would be willing to pay for such a beautiful example, and well maintained car. If its needed anything it has had it but like all LR once you fix one thing the next one comes up

Not so good points; Front Wheel bearings are sounding a little and getting old. intermittent screech from air fan blower. rear suspension arms need replaced as they creak when going over bumps, rear subframe could do with the same stripping and galvanising as I have done to the front - not immediate but in the next 18 months

L322's seem like all cars to be at an artificial high at the moment and with deliveries of the L460 starting it will depress L405's and likewise the L322's will suffer. If someone will offer you 15k for a 12 year old diesel 120k mile car I would be inclined to take it personally. I fear they have a long way to fall! Especially with global events, fuel prices and inflation etc

However if you've spent all that one it you might as well keep it forever. 2005 E60 M5

Thanks fella

Just stuck on what to do at the moment

I absolutely love the car but it has been expensive and there will probably be more to do at some point

Car went into restricted performance randomly one day and that was it

Upon inspection there was oil in the air filter and all around the wheel arch so the little
Turbo on the near side had given in

Once the engine was out the larger turbo on os was starting to leak oil too

That must have cost an absolutely Censored fortune and you're not going to see it back, so if can you should just keep it.
I can't imagine anything else you have to replace will cost anything like as much. Encourage alternative fuels, use all the petrol!

Yes it did! And I am
Inclined to agree I must have broken the back of the mostly costly work now. Tough pill to swallow but gets it over with. She’s running sweet!

Fortunately I’m very friendly with the mechanic who fixed her so mates rates and discount on genuine parts 👍🏻👍🏻

That’s some amount of work you’ve had done!

I see you’re in Lanark, who did you use to do it all?

Now you’ve done all of that, if you do the niggles that are outstanding as well you’ll have a properly sorted car on your hands. Selling one with a list of niggles such as wheel bearings, etc. will put a lot of prospective buyers off bringing your value down unfortunately.

I would be inclined to keep it after spending all that money on it - it's worth more to you than someone will be willing to pay I feel. Gavin

Agree it makes little sense to sell if you have sunk that much money into it. I’d be a bit concerned about the turbo fail as it would suggest prior issues with oil supply which may have consequences elsewhere in the engine as these very rarely fail on these engines. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
