Good finds Freddy - The Charente looks nice, not sure about the Batumi. The privacy glass does seem quite dark against this colour.

I've contacted my dealer to see if I can have clear glass on the standard LWB AB which I've ordered - If so, I'm going to scrap this Batumi (which I currently have spec'd) and go Portofino Blue with Perlino - Should look quite elegant combined with clear glass and always a safe bet.

As for the green one, that's interesting that it shows as that on the MOT Checker. I could see exactly where 5.0 was coming from. The more I looked at it, the more I couldn't tell whether it was Green or Carpathian, which is not good IMO.

I think these black rear lights (which I don't particularly like unless switched on), combined with the dark privacy glass mean dark colours don't break up or show themselves very well. Everything seems to blend into one and doesn't necessarily show the colour at its best.

I think this green car illustrates that. I also think it would have looked better with the lighter Autobiography Pack, rather than the nickel Atlas - At least then, it would have tied in with the wheels. Not a very well thought out combination in my opinion.

Portofino Blue with Perlino and clear glass can be seen in this video from 39 seconds (you really need to keep pausing to see it properly, as the shots move quite fast).

I agree aja500 - I prefer the green car on page 1 of this thread.

Portofino over Perlino will look beautiful and very classic. Would you also consider Constellation Blue?

I have a Belgravia over Caraway on order but am leaning towards Batumi funnily enough. My 4.4 was Loire over Ivory and then two Santorini Black in a row, so want something different. I was hoping Belgravia Green would be like Oak Green on a Mark 2 Golf GTi which I have always thought a spot on and timeless colour.

Yes I agree, the configurator does show Belgravia Green looking more like the colour of the Golf, than it does in the real life, outdoor countryside photo.

I still think Belgravia could look good though, if it had clear glass and was therefore able to contrast against the Caraway. Depends on your view regarding privacy glass really. Personally, I prefer not to have it but I have had it before, and think it can work well with some colours.

I understand you wanting a change, having had Loire and Ivory - I still have an old L322 in Balmoral Blue with Parchment and thought to myself only yesterday, will it be a bit boring having two cars which look the same colour (as I'll never part with the L322).

I did see the Constellation Blue, but it's another £4.6k, and didn't look much different - How would you describe it, is it more of a black / blue?

Sometimes I see the Batumi and really like it (usually under the bright showroom lights), other times I"m not so sure.

The truth is, I'm really struggling with the limited colour choices available, also how they will work together with the privacy glass and these blacked out rear lights. That combined with the uncertainty, and fear of getting it wrong - I guess this is the gamble you take when you place an early order without seeing a few on the road.

Hopefully more outdoor images in different colours will continue to come to light before the build slot gets locked in.

Yes, I’m not sure about Batumi either. I originally ordered Batumi with Perlino but changed it to Lantau Bronze with Caraway.

On privacy glass, I have a slightly different take. I’ve always gone for clear glass because I don’t want to look like a chauffeur!

My preference was initial a very dark blue over ivory and atlas accents + clear glass - now that would mean Portofino over Perlino. Very classic and timeless. But I think Portofino is a bit lighter blue in the sun than Loire or Balmoral blue (and much so than Ligurian Black), a darker blue over Perlino would be better IMO. But my wife thinks a dark grey over ivory (Perlino - which is much whiter, but still light and classy) would be timeless as well.

I was near my local dealer in Bedford so popped in to take some snaps of the various colour combinations. I used an iPhone Pro and angled the camera and used various amounts of the white table until the view on my phone was as close to what my eye was seeing as possible. They didn't have all the colours (no Hakuba Silver I am afraid) but hopefully helpful.

And for those interested in Portofino Blue here is a comparison with Loire Blue. The Loire sample had more flake in but they were pretty close. I am not sure I could describe the difference!
