| tb10 Member Since: 17 Feb 2015 Location: Bromsgrove Posts: 343      | Dr Rob, are you sure it’s not one of the bushes? I had a similar issue on the SC and I replaced the bearing but it didn’t get rid of the drone but then I replaced the top rose and bottom bush and it’s been fine since.

| rvbush Member Since: 08 Jan 2016 Location: Leamington Spa Posts: 569      | Someone will no doubt correct me if I'm srong, but I recall early L322's being fitted with, I think, Goodyear Wrangler tyres and it was found that when part worn they generated a noise not unlike a worn wheel bearing. In the US I believe tyres were often replaced under warranty for this issue (not in the UK obviously!).  in 2007 I had a 2003 M62 engined L322 with Wranglers and it did indeed make a noise like worn wheel bearings on part worn tyres. By this time LR were fitting Pirelli Scorpion as OE, so I replaced with these and no more issues. Drives:

| AutoB2018 Member Since: 09 Feb 2021 Location: Surrey Posts: 7      | Have you tried adjusting the tailgate spoiler? I had to remove mine to fix wiper arm, refitted and had whistling noise after 60mph, adjusted to make sure even gaps on either side and hey presto no noise. Worth a try ? | ||
