Looks like you’ll have to remove the mirror for a start….this will give you a better understanding of how the said finishing strip attaches ( maybe )
It would be nice to see f the top window frame from the inside, pull back the rubber door seal….I’m guessing the finishing strip (trim) is aluminium?
It’s possible it is a pressure fit apart from the thinner part of the trim that goes down the window slide.

G’day Sylvain, most of the aluminium trims I’ve had to remove in the past have either been pressed on with a small roll of the trim either side to hold them on the window frame and some of the trims have been secured with double sided tape.
Regardless to the oxidation of the trim you could still have some, dare i say it (rust) under the trim.
If that be the case I’m sure you can get a couple of rattle cans to touch up the area once you’ve prepared it, down under we can get common tints in lacquer rattle cans to do small touch ups.

🥶 getting into winter by a few weeks and had quite a fall of snow….so the heatwave is toast ol’ mate. 🤣
Im in Tasmania….that’s closer to the South Pole, can get bloody cold. 🥶

Anyway good luck with the trims and keeps us posted

Ok I’ve had a close look at the top door frame on my L322, you’ll have to definitely remove the side mirror, if you pull the door seal away all the way down to the top of the door skin to gain access to the fittings…..on top you’ll find a self tapping screw in the corner of the door frame, further down i (think) you’ll find three more self tapping screws these you will gain access if you have window down and pull the bailey channel out. From there if you have some plastic body tools you can gently remove the aluminium trim. Hope this helps you get it started. 😎🇦🇺

Now it's not an emergency anymore...
Had a DPF full red alert (no yellow first!) and I had to put my girl at the local RR dealership..
I'll open a new subject !
