Surely the dealer should fix cracked actuators under your warranty? 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

They won't fix themselves, and will eventually fail due to water ingress into the unit

But I doubt the warranty company will cover the parts until they have actually failed...

If you haven't owned the car for long, I'd approach the supplying garage and see what they say. They may cover the costs, or contribute to the repair...

Sorry for the dumb question here... but is it the front section of the wheel arch that needs to be removed to access the earth points? So take wheel off, remove plastic and should be visible.

Thanks

Update on my issue, might help others.

I took the front section of the wheel arch off..its a mix of regular screens and fixings that need the part pulled out. Bit of wriggling and they come out.

The mounting point on mine looked undamaged and felt really solid. I gave it a good shake and it it felt strong enough. I thought I'd just get a socket on it to see if it needed a nip up and as soon as I applied some pressure it just snapped. Was corroded all the way through the bolt.

There is already a hole in the chassis quite close by so I cut a thread in it, sanded the paintwork and existing connectoes a little and fired in a bolt.

Result is all warning messages gone.

So even if the original bolt looks solid it's probably just about to fail so a quick replace and all good.

it's a common fault. Check out YouTube, there are loads of videos on it.
I'm still trying to make up my mind if I should take the plunge with a L405 so doing my research and this seems to be a recurring theme.
FFRRs have quite a bad reputation for reliability but this is issue is age related, around ten years old, partly because of the aluminium construction and easily fixed so not a major problem.
All the other regular problems seem to be down to poor maintenance especially transmission issues
