There is Dixy, you have to write it in very small form writing onto a piece of crisp white paper, typically, A5 is the preferred size. Once you’ve completed your feedback you then need to roll the paper width ways incredibly tightly, I mean so tightly that should you hold it to your eye and try to look through it much as I imagine a pirate would, you can see only a pin hole of light from the other end. Then you take said tightly rolled piece of paper and remove your trousers and underwear...

…Sorry there’s someone at the door… I’ll be right back.

I do wish that there was a way to feedback to JLR.

Do the exec seats fold quite as flat? I didn’t think they did.

Feedback. After a couple of months they will ask . You will get to say your view twice!!!! Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Dixy, when you collected your new car from the dealer, did you have to sign a waiver that if you sold it within the first 12 months, you have to sell it back to the dealer?
I only ask as my boss's brother ordered one last year and only collected it 2 weeks ago and was made to sign this waiver.

No the exec seats do not fold nearly as flat but if we are using it as a van will use the L405.
No my dealer did not ask me to sign anything but it was a slightly odd situation in that I hope to hand it back to them in a few months when my P530 arrives. letters not necessarily in the right order

Completely unenforceable.

Indeed I wouldn't worry. HOWEVER, if JLR see your car for sale on a non-JLR website, you WILL likely be prevented from buying a new JLR product in the future. This is being pretty rigorously monitored and I know people it has happened to.

When we went to Gaydon to preview the new Full Fat I spent the entire journey up thinking "please don't have Censored it up"
They did not, it is an excellent bit of kit.
That is part of the problem, it is so good the few weaknesses stand out. First world problems.
Having had to go back to the stealer I had a look at their showroom car and tweaked the spec of the new one, I had downgraded the rear seats from Exec to standard because I like the ski hatch, but the rear seats are so much better in Exec that I reverted and the other was the exterior trim I have gone back to the shiny.
The HUD is so good that the fact I dislike the dash or whatever they call it is irrelevant.

I do wish that there was a way to feedback to JLR.

Good move going back to the shiny Dixy... I have done the same, going Portofino Blue, Clear Glass, Shiny Trim, Perlino leather and even silver spoke alloys - I just think silver contrasts better and brings out the blue more Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Having driven it over 800 miles in the last 24 hours I now feel able to comment further.
Firstly I cant think anything could have been better, what a great piece of engineering.
The D350 is an excellent engine, the chassis made me feel totally confident to press on in the twisty bits, the suspension is just outstanding so smooth yet equally planted. The seats are simply perfect. The lights make dark as light as they can without upsetting other drivers.
Only 2 down points, the adaptive cruise is unsubtle to the point that I certainly would prefer just cruise.
But the big failing is the steering wheel, to say I hate it is an understatement, I almost wont keep the car because of it. I find the crevasse between black and white uncomfortable, annoying and distracting. The switches are tacky, badly located with no clear demarcation and their function proved hit and miss. Further comment will just fuel my loathing.
most things can be ignored or worked around but the steering wheel is rather fundamental. letters not necessarily in the right order

Can't adaptive cruise be disabled to revert to standard CC? I understand that it can be done on the L405.

I have to agree the design of the steering wheel looks like it's from another car and completely out of place, there's no design synergy. Cheers, Greg
