Hopefully the people at board level in LR read this forum too, then at least there is a chance that some of the glitches can be ironed out.

There still is no excuse for launching cars with dodgy infotainment systems like the Facelift 2018 car.....

Boardroom meeting scenario....

Chairman: "Right chaps we have a full order book for the new car launching in March 2018"

IT man: "Well, we still haven't got the Incontrol system right yet so not sure about March date"

Chairman: " Don't worry about that, we need to get the cars out there, let the dealers sort any problems out!"

And so the car was launched with a system manufactured in-house rather than bought in and made by one of the specialist companies. It was a money saving exercise which backfired and very nearly lost them loyal customers like me. I know of at least 4 people who had the same problems as me, two of which moved to an Audi and will not return.

The FFRR is the best there is if everything works, but it can be a very frustrating experience when things are not right. My latest 2021 car is 100% ok!! All LR cars from 1984

My L460 will be approaching its first service in the next few months. The infotainment has been absolutely faultless. Not a single audio drop out on start up, something I’ve experienced with other LR products. Its operation with CarPlay and Alexa is seamless every time. Absolutely no issues here and the quality of the hardware and software on it is exceptional.

I will confess I’m a little perplexed about the steering wheel issue, horses for course and all that, it’s round, it’s leather clad and looks well, it does it’s job and the multifunction aspect of it is all fairly intuitive. Have you seen the clip of the wheel on a Cullinan? It looks like something lifted from a Chrysler. And don’t start me on the audiesque 2015 era infotainment on that.

My P440e is now reaching 3000 miles and I must say I subscribe completely Christonabike words!
The car is fantastic: the comfort, the perceived quality, the quietness (the only noise is some wind noise at high speed), the awesome response to the throttle, even the ACC I find it very good. In short I couldn’t be more pleased with the car.
The only thing I find annoying is that in terms of software I’m still with the 3.2.1 release (the 3.0 failed three times to install and never came back). Proud owner of a P440e SE, Belgravia Green

Having just returned from a 1500 mile round trip to the Alps a few comments.
D350 is a dream and more efficient than my '21 D350.
I have the half wood steering wheel and I don't find the grove in the wheel an issue. I spent many a mile wondering how it can be a problem, maybe I'm just lucky with how I hold the wheel!
The lane assist is nothing like a Tesla and I wouldn't leave the car to it!
Picked up a puncture. Turns out the tyres have foam on the inside for noise cancelling I assume. I certainly didn't know that.

Overall an amazing car, other than I can add mine to the list of fuel filler covers not fitting, I thought it was just me!

I just wonder if the efficiency is because they have improved the aerodynamic design/shape of the car. For example the back windscreen is no where near as dirty as the previous FFRR Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

I declined to have a DBX because it can not have a round steering wheel.
Yes it is down to personal preference but they just seam obsessed with making changes for no good reason.
3 steering wheels that all do the same basic things.

The Porsche wheel is the nicest of the 3 by far, the L460 easily the worst. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

The steering wheel in the new RRS is better to look at IMHO

I’m all for gadgets and tech but the dash/binnacle on the Porsche is waaaaay too complicated.

I actually like the L460 steering wheel.

I chose the upgraded wood rimmed wheel and it was a mistake. I hadn’t realised that, if you also spec the Piano Black wood, the only part of the wheel that is the colour of the seat covers is the central area. I prefer the version that has seat coloured internal rims. But I can live with that mistake.

Porsche wheel would be totally out of place in the RR.

Absolutely this Dixy.

The top image is identical to my L460 steering wheel and the bottom the lower spec version of my 992 wheel. Both beautiful in their own surroundings.

I grew up in a colliery house in the 80s and a council house in the 90s. The wheel is fine man. It’s a big, full fat, Range Rover!

Square steering wheels drive me mad, I thought I was the only one. There was a time when the only car that had a square steering wheel was an Allegro....enough said.
