Replacement FBH remote?

Hi folks, had a couple of Discos previously and I’m now the new owner of a MY12 L322 Westie.

I looked up the VIN and seems it has “Park Heating with Remote Control [043AV]”, can I assume that’s Remote FBH?

If so, I don’t have the remote - could someone kindly point me towards where I’d find a replacement?

Yes it will have it fitted. All tdv8 have them. You can programme it on the centre screen for specific times. Or you on demand via a small remote blipper. Or fit an Altox and control it via an app and SIM card in the Altox. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

There is a specific type of remote blipper for your model year. I have a 2011 and the blipper does not have the little protruding aerial. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Thanks DrRob! The Altox sounds great, I had similar in my Transporter previously. Any recommendations for where to get one?

This is the one I have

Check the receiver module in the rear boot side bin and see if it says T91R on it. Should do for your model year. The blipper in the link is T91R. There is a syncing procedure. Will be on here somewhere Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Be aware there's different remotes based on chassis number for the 2011 model year.

There was a topic on this recently:

https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/post644977.html#644977

You need to get the exact remote according to your chassis (of which there are 3 versions), otherwise it won't work. Ordering from main dealer with your VIN will probably be less hassle for not much more money (I think they're just over £100).

An alternative solution is to hook up a GSM gate opener to a timer switch, this will enable you to use your phone to activate the Webasto, but does involve some technical knowledge and a little bit of wiring.

If the remote is missing, there's a good chance the FBH might not have been run in some time. The fuel pumps are known to corrode and cause problems. Try firing it up from the infotainment system (ambient temperature will need to be below 16 degrees, so test late in the evening). If it doesn't work, you may also need a new fuel pump for it (not the end of the world and readily available on ebay).

Can be swapped over in 10 minutes with no more than a socket and extension:

Oops. Thanks for clarifying my mistaken eBay link.
Bloody minefield these remotes 😂
I’ve ditched mine for an Altox. Much better to be app driven plus acts as a tracker as well 👍 Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
