Trouble code PO40D-00

I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. My new to me 2011 TDV8 4.4 is running fine but has a few minor issues.
I purchased an Autel AP200 code reader and I had five engine codes which were historic and one permanent code PO40D-00 Exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor A - Circuit high.

This is a permanent code which I cannot delete so I assume the fault is still there. Can anyone point me in the direction of this sensor and any likely causes for the fault? No dash lights or running issues so far.

Many thanks Dec 2011 L322 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Orkney Grey/Sand leather

Ran mine with that fault for 30k miles no issues but last year had a few red dpf full problems , went round all the usuals and still had it happen again , went through the pita job of changing this at beginning of year so playing the waiting game now to see if it resolves it (140k on car now), fingers crossed for now .

Thanks, mine has 160k on it and I am going through all of the fault codes that I have found since the recent purchase. To be honest driving it you cannot tell at all. I will do it when the weather breaks a little. Dec 2011 L322 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Orkney Grey/Sand leather
