Evening,

Don't tow much with the RR (usually use my D4). Noticed socket badly corroded, so I replaced it and re-wired. Everything works except the rear trailer lights. 7 pin socket if that matters.

Tested at plug in the rear of the spare wheel - where connects to trailer socket and nothing.

Lights work on my D4 so not the trailer!

Tested every fuse I can find related to the trailer.

I see earlier models had a separate trailer control module - is this the case in the later models?

Struggling to find a wiring diagram for a 2012 model.

I can't help much with the wiring fault but I do know the 2012 doesn't have the same trailer ECU as the earlier cars.

Trailer lights are wired independently Ona 7 pin socket, should be brown and black to no 5 and 7 pins. If both not working does point to the wiring unit on the trailer. Easiest option is to disconnect and insulate the two wires from the socket and connect a new live feed from a rear light. If you have a multimeter check the old wires to eliminate an unlikely failure in the new socket. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23
