Similar problem here!

The rear camera on my 06 4.2 has recently started playing up!

Sometimes it just displays a black screen, other times it displays a picture with a lot of interference, but you can more or less see the view to the rear of the car and very occasionally it displays a clear picture as it should.

Has anyone any idea what is causing the fault and more importantly, how to cure it?

My camera stared playing up like this. Replacement camera was £140ish + fitting took less than an hour. Worked perfectly since.

hi, not that bad..it will be the camera. the seal goes on them and the moisture gets in...but at the camera end you will have 12v and a signal so there are quite a few after market ones that can be fitted there if you dont want to pay landrover prices saying that i pick up a factory camera for 40 quid

yes its 12v and you will need to convert the rca to smc connector, you can pay more for better quality cameras but that or something along them lines, you will have to fix it under the spoiler V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Help...

my camera arrived today, so i have just one question now, how do i connect to my car because the wires from my existing camera connection were cut and taped together(previous owner i assume).. The red and black wires will be easy to just tape together, but the gold connection, what do i do with that, should i cut it off the new camera or..?
