16 – 436 viewsFinally clean out the inlet. This is @ 1.5 inches deep and will be covered again with sticky tar and muck. Use a blunt blade to scrape it clean and a cloth to remove the residue. This all helps with airflow.

17 – 439 viewsYou can now refit the EGR to the engine. remember to tighten up all the bolts before you refit the air pipe, otherwise you can't easily get at the bolts. I am disabling my EGR so have removed the vacuum pipe and blocked it with a small bolt, then cable clipped it to a pipe that runs below the EGR - accessible if I want to reverse things.

Refit the exhaust clamp, the intercooler pipe (it was easier to fit the bottom end then the rubber pipe to the EGR), and finally refit the engine covers.
