16 - All cleaned up and ready for refit – 49 viewsI used a wire brush to remove most of the corrosion and then lightly greased the whole fitting.
Re-assembly is a reverse of dis-assembly
15 - Remove the rubber sealing ring from the housing – 50 viewsYou will need to remove the "paint" from the inside of the sealing ring before re-assembly
14 - Silvering badly deteriorated – 51 viewsNo alternative but to put these back in. May be tempted to have a play with some kitchen foil next time around
13 - Plenty of "crud" collected in the glass housing – 41 viewsThe glass was pitted on both sides and didn't respond to vigorous cleaning
12 - Lever back the plastic tabs carefully and ease the lamp housing from the glass housing – 44 viewsas you can see the lamp housing is in a bit of a state. The original "paint" is all but gone, and the, I guess, alloy housing has badly corroded. Take care with the plastic tabs holding the housing lugs in place, the glass housing plastic is quite brittle and the tabs can easily snap off (he says with experience)
11 - Undo the retaining torx bolt to allow the two halves of the housing to come apart – 54 views
10 - Testing the intended DRL LED lamps – 63 viewsThese weren't a tight fit in the connector like the OEM bulb, so may need to "bend" the blades a bit
08 - Release lamp housing from connector – 45 viewsThis is quite stiff so use a flat bladed screwdriver to release the small clip
09 - Lamp Housing removed from car – 48 views
07 - All screws removed and lamp housing withdrawn from bumper – 45 views
06 - Remove third screw – 43 viewsThis one is set further back so you might need a torch to see exactly where it is
05 - remove Second screw – 45 views
