Low range

My low range system fail to connect often. I push the button o the center console and nothing happens. Sometimes when I turn the ignition on the low range light blinks o the pannel without I push the button. What can this be?

Maybe start by looking for corrosion in the wiring/connectors/control module. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Could be the switch itself, or possibly the shift motor potentiometer, which is a known weak point on the NV225.
