Are the 5.0 rear calipers TRW?

If so and if AF do the caliper you want, I can vouch for their caliper service.

In truth, being cynical, at the outset I thought "bet they find a reason not to refund me for my old calipers". Not at all.

I packaged them in the new caliper box supplied by AF, went to the post office, sent my old ones to AF and within a couple of days, the money was back in my account for the refund reference the returned old calipers.

Completely trustworthy and efficient service.

Thumbs Up

IS it different to the ones on the TDV8 then? or is it just a TRW like the rest...... If so they are available from most local motor factors, I got a refurbed trw one for mine from ECP and another from a local factors after the ECP one stuck on again...... the second was refurbed by brake engineering. Still about £60ish.

But yes do both!

edit - no they are different TRW callipers...... LR015581/83 5.0sc There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Are you sure it's not a badly adjusted handbrake after refitting the new discs and pads ? I'd be amazed if the calipers on your 5.0 Supercharged were fooked already.... Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....

I've just spent an hour reading and searching old threads. Lost count of the numbers of people who have had the exact same symptoms, and all turned out to be callipers sticking.

4.4 TDV8 & 5.0 use 6 pot Brembo's up front and a much larger rear calliper than was on the older 3.6 TDV8 or 4.2 Thumbs Up

But is the piston at the rear bigger?

I checked brakes int's website a fit doesn't list it for the 5.0 and 4.4 so I'm betting they are spcial order jobbies either with a larger piston or dual non sliding for them. If they have moved to no ln sliding it would be a design improvement 😄😄😄 FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

If they were fine before the new pads were fitted, could that not be the problem? Could the pad be sticking in the calliper in some way? I've had pads rusting in to the slides they sit in, a quick filing and lubing does the trick, but you have new pads so maybe not. Previously..
