I must admit, when it switches your engine off for you, the bit where it says "update failed" or something, and the error messages that come up are all very worrying! But, as noted already, it's all fine when you switch it off then on again (classic IT fix!).
Gonna Go Double, have you done the suspension calibration yet? That's a piece of cake with the latest firmware, which you'll have.

Did someone say that a CCF edit puts all your audio settings back to default? I haven't checked mine since I last changed the CCF.

I said it Smile

It puts your bass and treble back to the middle ... subwoofer to lowest ... logic 7 on.

I can't stand the sound with Logic 7 on - was how I noticed the changed settings the first time. What do I put here then?

Thanks GAC23; that might explain this conversation the other day, whilst on a long drive:
Me - listen to this track, it sounds amazing on this system.
Wife - yeah it's OK but nothing special.
Me - cloth ears!

But actually I was thinking "she's right - for once....."

I agree that the sound is miles better with Logic 7 OFF.

^^brilliant

Got in and drive home last night - no changes registered from the ccf - so I do think it was an actual fail.

And still no cruise control but I'll have another go with the engine running later today. I still think, since the IID turns the ignition off and on a few times I'll struggle with my battery though...

Thanks for the pointers guys.

Greg Cheers, Greg

Just tried it twice. Battery held out but CCF seems screwed. E.g. Mirrors no longer dip in reverse. Setting in dash set to on. Also tried locking then unlocking but no good.

. Cheers, Greg

Unless I’m mad - always possible - the first time you plugged your IID in, it will have made a CCF backup.

I’d be tempted to restore it. Then make all your changes again. What do I put here then?

Greg, when playing with IIDTool I always connect Cteck charger (set to supply) to avoid low battery problem.

Third time lucky - Worked!!

I've now got:

- Blip sound on lock and unlock
- DRL's
- Numeric speedo in speedo
- one press super lock

And other stuff back online: mirrors are dipping on reverse again, cruise control is back and forward alert has come back online.

Must have been a glitch in the matrix.

Thanks team! Cheers, Greg

Greg/ Nino,
I connect my Ctek to the car via the towing socket using one of Martin’s adapters and have tried using the iid without the engine running whilst “playing “, but it didn’t work for some reason. I got the low battery start engine warning after a few minutes?

I will try it again tomorrow if you wish?

Glad you’re sorted. Smile

Super lock is one setting I keep forgetting to try. What do I put here then?

Nino,
Mine is a Ctek 5, and I am also on the original battery.
I left it trickle charging for 4 weeks last month whilst I was on holiday and it started on the button no problem when I returned.
I am busy today, but will have another play with the iid and Ctek tomorrow. (The beauty of being retired, their is always tomorrow 👍👍)

Greg/ Nino,
It is raining today so I have just been playing with my iid in various ways to confirm the following;
Sitting in car with engine running iid shows 14.7. Volts.
Stop engine and it pretty soon drops to 12.2 Volts
Connect Ctek it reads 13.7Volts at socket, but still 12.2Volts on iid.
Disconnect Ctek re- start engine back to 14.7v

Confused??
iid is obviously not seeing charger?

Mike.
