ULF Bluetooth rewire doesn't work

Hi folks,

As the title suggests, I obtained a new 54 pin connector this morning, and rewired the connector using a chart kindly supplied by Ajay(UK) - Many thanks.

I did the rewire by moving the 14 required connections to the new plug and then plugging the new plug into the ULF. So all the "isolate in another connector" or "not used" wires (according to the charts), are not there at all.

I can't get Telephone to show on the Nav screen.

I double checked the wiring against another chart I got from the L322.com site, and there were some differences ;

Pin 2 to 11 instead of 38 to 11
Pin 19 to 32 instead of 2 to 32
Pin 24 to 36 instead of 34 to 36

I made the above changes, and I still don't see "Telephone".

I have tried 2 ULF's...........

Does the option appear straight away ?

I would say that I think I've wired it correctly, but obviously I haven't.

I've have attached the antenna, if that changes things.

A bit stumped now.

Mk4 nav if that helps.............

Any ideas ?

Thanks

trying to find my old chart but i think that you need to remove the unused wires from the plug.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Your first two pin changes only relate to the eject box for the centre arm rest and it maybe that the other wiring diagram used different wiring at the eject box end - it only uses three wires at this end none of which effect the unit firing up. Confused

The only pins needed to get the ULF working are the two positive ones, a ground and the ibus, these are pins 15, 17 35 & 36 - all the others relate to microphone, audio mute, speaker, voice or eject box and will only effect their corresponding function. For example if the mic wires are not connected then you can shout as much as you like but it wont hear you Wink

Assuming the connections are correct the telephone option should appear on the monitor without any reprogramming Confused

This may seem daft but have you checked to make sure your phone loom is actually connected to the main loom? This is the white 12pin x400 plug often tucked wayyyyyyyy down under all the other modules: Details here:

The only other things I can suggest are general "house keeping" making sure the relevant fuses haven't blown and perhaps trying a voltage meter Question

I have done this twice so I know it works Thumbs Up

Many thanks gents.

That'll be Fuse 22 in the Passenger Compartment blown then.

That could have been blown for years........who knows.

Fuse replaced and Telephone has appeared on the display.

Will fabricate a pairing button using pins 32 and 36, and I should then be able to test the microphone etc later......

Cheers
