Why get a new blade? Just swap the one you currently have into the new casing. |

Any Timpsons shop or mobile caravan will cut the blade for you.

On the bay of flees you can also find "reconditioning" kits that replace the rubber. I think they come from Oz when I looked at keys and the likes last. That way you can retain your current key, no blade cutting or other issues |

The OZ kit is good but is not EOM looking.

Having subsequently taken my original key fob shell to pieces with a view to looking into replacing the rubber buttons only, as a second spare, I found the origonal rubber buttons are fitted into the fob in such a way it is almost impossible to remove them satisfactorily and I would defy anyone to then replace new rubbers in a truly satisfactory manner.

http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ...UfJwkeCqHw Oh, well, I did this a long time ago with satisfactory result - easy win really. LOL! Just be calm and patient when doing it. it still takes less time than going to the shop to get a blade cut anyway. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l Current RANGE ROVER Vogue 4.4L SDV8 - 2013 - Indus Silver, on Almond. You need to alter the new rubber part so it fits nicely.

Hmm, I did think about doing what you describe but came to the conclusion that using a new fob and having the blade cut would achieve a more satisfactory result.
