the battery is a good place to start, also maybe the fuel pump if you had quarter or less in the tank... ... - .- -.

The fuel guage was inbetween 1/4 and 1/2 full. Battery seems fine though?

have you had a chance to scann to see if theres a fault code left behind theat might help |

I havent got a fault code reader unfortunately......how much are they and where from?

Even a bobby basic one for £20 of flee bay with give you the fault code then look it up, if not I'm sure some one local will scan it in for you |

Thinking of getting one of these tools. Looking at a "Pro-scan" unit on flea bay. Anyone ever used one of these and if they are any good |

fyi, the cheapy ones can read faults but cannot clear them.... ... - .- -.

these codes read by generic scanners are only the basic ones, which by law all car manufactres have to make accessible...the suspension ,hdvc etc codes are landrover specific codes and can only be read/cleared by dedicated obd scanners like the IIDTool ... ... - .- -.

All seems to be fine now. not had even a blip and done a few hundred miles since this happened. Couldnt have been some dodgy fuel from the supermarket or something could it?
