Are you charging it on the car? Have you disconnected any leads? You should leave it charging overnight to give it a full charge. Previously..

I think unless it's a battery conditioner type charger you can damaged the car by not disconnecting the battery.
Until the battery is fully charged you can't really fault find. It'll be fine tomorrow Thumbs Up
Try the spare key as well if you can. Previously..

I have a weak battery on my 4.4 v8. My battery is only reading about 11.6 with a volt meter. If i charge it up it will only read 12.4 V ish. My car starts fine at the moment but I am expecting it let me down any day. Just done a 300 mile trip and it always started for me.

Oliver, have you checked the voltage while the engine was running ?? It is probably in the 14+ volt range i.e. the alternator is charging the battery, masking the imminent death of the battery.

Suggest to keep it on trickle charge at night if you can and change out the battery asap. Have a look around the forum for the suggested best option and ensure you follow the battery dis-connect procedure. Nothing worse than trying to get to work on a cold morning and the bloody thing won't go.

Also have a look at the various suppliers and their prices on here, sounds like Europarts is usually the cheapest option. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
