SOLVED - how to clear check brake pad message

Hi,

Just done rear pads, fitted new sensor and still have error message. Will it clear itself in a few miles or do I need to disconnect battery ? It's just niggling me that its still displayed and the fact that the sensor wires at the car side of the connector are very fine and getting a bit brittle no doubt now 10 years old. MY2010 TDV8 Vogue Ipanema Sand

Must have a broken sensor wire or poor plug connector somewhere

Try ignition pos 2 for 30 seconds or until the warning liht goes out then ign off then start car .... Maybe an urban myth but a few BMW owners report that works for this issue.

I'm expecting the same as I have to do my rears this weekend.

When I replaced my pads (all round with new sensors) the message went with no need to reset anything!

As above, check the sensors and there wiring front and rear....
