Burn it on a good quality disc at as slow a speed as your burner will allow. It is possible you have a duff image. Also are you sure its a MKIV? I don't recall a MKIV with a monochrome screen, but  I could be wrong. Check the model you have against the one shown here

It is not straightforward to build one and you need all the software, plus the correct version. Also I dont believe it works with Range Rovers | ||
