| Replacing belts on supercharged | |
I read the 'how to' in the wiki on radiator removal with interest as I was planning to replace the primary and secondary belts which requires uncoupling the viscous fan.
I had an exploratory root around yesterday to see if the task would be much different on the SC. I removed the engine cover and the air intake ducting only to find a maze of pipes and a manifold casting level with the top of the rad obscuring any realistic access to the fan coupling, tensioners and belts.

to get back on. You can do the belts with this removed and it's not torque sensitive when you put it back on. You can remove the intake plenum but that's a bit of a sod and not necessary. Be prepared to skin knuckles doing it though ...
