United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Mariana Black

Thanks Dave - I plan to have a good look around today to see if I can work it out. I may well start by using the old pump to see if it all works and them work out if I can swap out for the new pump.

I tried with the jumper but didn't seem to work but nor did the old wiper motors back in place! Ash

All fixed and I need shooting please.....

Didn't realise that despite my efforts it was never going to work after I blew the fuse in the glove box. IT must have gone when I first jumped the connection in the wiper plug to the wrong wires. Changed that for a good one and all is fine.

Thanks all for your input as always. Will post pictures once it dries out..

Thumbs Up Ash

Hi Mate,

Johnny Dangerous post in the thread was black with yellow stripe to the black with brown stripe. Its the two outer most wires on the 4 way plug.

I then fedd the old pump to the new pump water pipes (leaving the old pump in line) and then wired up to the new pump. Still doesn't seem to wash every 6th squirt but each time you turn the car on and wash the window it does. Haven't tried very hard yet but it works..!

Thanks for you help Dave!

Hi Dave,

I added the new pump (high power pump) and this is the pump that has the electrical connection and activated on use. I had to leave the old pump in place as the new and one is not the same fittings and couldn't connect it direct to the washer bottle and thus replace the old pump.

So the set up was old pump connected to the bottle and then water flow through into the new pump where the new pump took the power to feed the jets. The old pump is not powered in any way so just inline from a water point of view.

works great but gets the bonnet wet from the power. May have to adjust the jets down a bit more. Ash

Glad I found this thread - I'm just finishing off my 2006 conversion and have replaced the washer bottle and pumps with the new ones including the high pressure one - transferred over the connectors. Windscreen wash is fine - rear wash is fine but nothing on the headlamps. I will go and jump the wires mentioned a few posts back and see what happens. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

Ok so I have followed the above directions and have bridged the outer two wires on the four way plug. First time you start the car and wash the windscreen I see a blast from the headlight washers Thumbs Up however after that I don't seem to get them to come back on again unless I restart.

Has anyone got this fully working on every 6th wipe etc? "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

Others can chip in here but I think I asked the exact same question. there is also a time delay on this so it will only work again after 3 (??) minutes or something like that and again only on the sixth press?

I was worried it would;t pass the MOT but it sailed through (on that at least) Ash
