Question after 2006 facelift conversion

Hi Folks,

Today I was brave enough to attempt the front facelift on my 54 vague to the 2006 front end. All went ok although I have the fogs to adjust as the bezels don't fit back on and I can't get the headlight washers to work...

But - the lights are all wired up but can anyone tell me what the silver bulb in the marked space (in red) in the image below is. I thought it was daylight running but that's a small LED in the corner. Is it sidelight..?? If so, I have no idea how to wire this one up.

 Ash

That's your cornering light. If it is capped (like on mine), then it is unlikely to be functional. You need the adaptive light system anyway. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

they are cornering lamps, they come on at low speed when turning into a drive ect but will not work with your car.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

comports, from memory you have to link to wires togeather behind the head lamp, let me look for the post to find out the colours, unless stan beats me to it. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Thanks Dave - I'll give it a go tomorrow but think its wired in correctly.

Do you know how it should be plumbed in though. The back of the washer bottle has 3 pumps. I pulled the plug from the far right one (as that one seemed to feed the old wash/wipe) to power the new pump, fed the outlet from the old pump to the inlet of the new pump and then onto the washer feed but nothing seems to come out.

If the old pump has no power does the water still flow through it.?

Cheers

the old washer bottle does not have the hi power washer pump for the 06 headlamps but you can get away the the original headlamp washer, what you will find is the washer on the shorter hose squirts stronger but if you use one of those fish tank air pump clamps and restrict the hose you can even them out, V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Thanks! Bow down I always wondered what that was and why no switches seemed to turn it on.

Right Dave,

I'm going to try to short the two wires you mentioned above to see what happens but talk me through the wash process will you.

So Pull wiper stick towards me - windscreen washes
Push wiper stick away - rear wash wipe
What does the button on the end do as mine seems to just do front wash wipe again.

So to try the lights jets - turn on lights, pull stalk towards me and on the 6th go the lights should squirt..?

cheers Ash

Semi panic over. Did the lock to lock and using IID cleared the faults and all ok again I think

Not sure I want to short the wires again just yet though until someone confirms this. There is front left light (near side) with a spare plug - 4 wires with the correct wire color combo and the off side light only has 3 wires going to it. Should these be jumped as well?

Thanks
