Ah, ok.

Those are the bits you remove to fit the tow bar, they incorporate the towing eye and hangers for the exhaust, there is not a way to attach a bar to those parts, they are standard on all rangies. When fitting the towing armature they are removed and in most cases discarded.

Unfortunately you will need to start from scratch:

Armature, detachable hook/farmers hitch, electrics.

So in the second pic I posted you need the grey bit and the white bit it bolts into.

These are what you have on yours I think. The cross member you have pic of is the standard rear crash bar. This is retained.[/url] There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Genuine tow bar for sale

Biffa, I have an "as new" armature, removable hook and neck for sale. Pics on my gallery.

Was going to put it on my last RR but sold the RR before putting it on. It is for a 2005 on RR (the flanges for the exhaust supports moved slightly for the newer version.)

Let me know if you want it. All you need then is the ECu for the rear boot connection and the electric cable to connect the trailer lights etc. I would recommend you get the genuine LR ones.

Also, is the visit to the LR garage essential to programme the car?

Thumbs Up

Dolphinboys should fit fine as the figment years are 2002-2005, 2005 on.
Best idea would be to fit it at home, plenty on here to help, and buy the wiring from the local or dealer.

There is debate on whether programming is needed. Some say it works fine without, however there is an activation procedure which can be done by either the dealership or an Indy with a decent diagnostic such as auto logic or one of the many diagnostic tools mentioned on here.

I Had mine activated for £20 at the local Indy.

The one you posted is the flange/farmers version, it is a perfectly functional tow bar but most opt for the detachable version. The subframes are the same it's the attachement which varies. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

@Biffa, PM sent.

Yes it will fit yours, it is for 2005 on. All you need in addition is the ECU and electrics which will cost c. £60-80 for both. As said, get gen LR parts.

Very easy to fit yourself adn no it shouldn't need you to go anywhere near a dealer to activate. simple plug and play (think you may haver to take off the neg pole on the battery -full installation instructions are on this firum adn I can talk you through anything else. (all part of the After sales service !! Thumbs Up )

Hi,
Will tow armature VUB503960 fit all 2006+ FFs? including 2010-12 models?
Then what is KNI500020, I`ve seen that it is suggested for vehicles from 2011...
Thanks 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue MY12

The fitment for 2006> is the same for all ffrr so 2010 is the same. Thumbs Up

KNI is the fitment for the USA where they have a 52mm hole for the reciever. Europe has a 50mm reciever in the armature to take the farmers or detachable bars. so ignore KNI unless you are in the states Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
