I've been charged as much as £200 in Aberdeen for a 4 wheel alignment on a Touareg. Cracking job but typical of local Aberdeen pricing for most things. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11

Had mine done at a tyre place once for £40 took about 20 minutes and cost me 2 front tyres within about 2 months as it took the outer edge off them both, ended up getting it done at the dealers for £160 and it took 2 hours and recieved a full print out of all the measured angles against the specs.

It's a specialist job.... The guy doing it has to know the exact spec and tolerances of what he needs to achieve. I did it myself once with some borrowed mirrors and equipment.
I thought I had done an accurate job but the tyres were shot within 600 miles as I had set it to the wrong tolerances, which I found out after the tyres wore out.
Gotta know what you are doing.
I had a similar experience with a fast fit garage recently that didn't have my exact model of car in his computer so he went for the nearest that he thought would do!!! Turned out to be miles from where it should be???

If I hadn't have checked it could have cost me a pair of rear tyres Big Cry
The garage paid to have it done at a main dealer and they said I was lucky as it was way out

Ireland 2008 Range Rover HSE TDV8 Java Black

Right 3rd trip to garage on Saturday car drives straight but wheel is at 2 o'clock position. On first name terms with the manager at this point. I show operator where wheel is pointing when driving straight and he sets up alignment machine. He gives me a call for me to set car into tight tolerance mode. After ten minutes he gives the thumbs up the cars ready. He asks me to take car for a drive and return if still off. I go for a drive and discover wheel is now at 1 o clock position. I go back and they tell me they are too busy and I will have to wait Censored so 4th trip back next Saturday. I'm convinced it is the steering wheel that is just out and considering removing steering wheel and moving one spline to the left at this point. Am I destined never to have a straight steering wheel Big Cry Present :2008 TDV8 HSE
