V5 Question

I'm currently waiting to collect my RR which is being held up waiting for a new V5 as private plates are being put on retention. The dealer has received the revised MOT cert & the Tax disc with the new reg and the new plates have been put on the car. The dealer has said I can collect the car and he'll forward the V5 on when it arrives.

Should I do it or is it best to wait for the V5?

Cheers

you have a bill of sale, a mot and tax , all with the reg number on them so let the dealer send you the v5 later... ... - .- -.

Stan's 100% right...as always! Thumbs Up My recent purchase was from a small dealer who had to faff about getting the original plate back on as it was on a cherished plate. Picked up the car and the V5 came through a couple of weeks later. So no problemo Very Happy SDV8 AB MY 2019

remeber to confirm on the day you are picking it up, with your insurance that the new plate is confirmed, to your car, as the system that the dvla use is separate to the insurance, and both systems, are visible to the cops. (ask me how i know!)
