You can burn folders for each album it will work fine, what you can't do is get iTunes to do it for you.

It needs to MP3
It needs to arranged into the relevant folders, one for each album on the PC then copy the whole folder onto cd rom.
The above needs to be done manually.
When the cd is full burn it.

Don't just get iTunes to create a MP3 or data cd, it won't work.

Should be able to get about 6-10 albums per cd. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

My NAS spec 2008 FFRR has the rear AUX jack, but no RSE. So it's worth checking for even without the RSE.

Thanks guys.

Well, having finally found some CD's, I inserted them into the changer last night. Took a loooong time to load and finally made an appearance on the touch screen, showing as playing CD1, track 1. However, there wasn't any sound. Confused I had a fiddle about with the head unit controls and couldn't get ANY sound on any function.

This morning, still no sound (and the CD now refuses to load sometimes). I Googled for answers and most answers seemed to point towards the amplifier being at fault.

I then fiddled a little more and purely by experimenting (pressing just about anything) I worked out (in my case at least) how to get the sound to return to the radio at least (CD isn't really playing out). If on Radio, and Orange is selected and there is no sound, switch to another selection (CD or TV) and then back to Radio and the sound reappears! Confused

I still don't have the CD functioning, though...

When you get the track up showing as playing but no sound try moving to the next track with the steering wheel control. Don't know if it will work but on occasion I have done that when it has hung.

Oh and make sure your volume is turned up enough. Wink John

Thanks, Weejie.

I'm not sure if I did try that, (I tried all sorts of things!) but if I can ever get the CD to spring in to life again, it's worth remembering. Thumbs Up

One other thing I had to do was replace the CD player fuse in the box behind the glove compartment (fuse 40 IIRC). Although it looked alright and seemed to be continuous replacing it brought th player to life. John

Update.

I disconnected the battery for 15 minutes (and checked/swapped the three fuses - all ok - related to the audio) and the CD now works perfectly.

It had only actually shown as playing a disc and changing tracks once or twice and it had never produced any sound whatsoever.

A nice easy fix.

Many thanks for the replies and advice. Thumbs Up
