rear compartment heating

hi all, i wonder if anyone could shed light onto the fact that the ventilation duct on the central cubby box only blows out cold air.

Presumably all the settings are on hot? There is a rear FSR that fails! Search facility should cover this Thumbs Up

It looks as though the blend flap which controls the temperature of the air coming out of the rear vents is stuck for whatever reason.
This describes the control of the rear ac.

Mine used to only blow out hot. It turned out to be a stuck valve in the "coolant valve unit" in the engine bay. This was diagnosed by my Indy, who found a mismatch in the coolant temperatures when it was running on live diagnostics.

Cheers, Jon.

mine also blows hot unless I turn the fan right up then blows cool/cold as set even when the fan is turned back down, sometimes need to change every journey sometimes not for a week. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Just shows how much I know then. I thought it was permanently cold to keep one's Snickers from melting Laughing
