I don't want to hijack the thread (after all I'm in the queue for another of Paul's efforts) but what I find to be a pain is that if you are in the drivers seat and release the upper tailgate with the button on the dash then jump out and close the drivers door the air pressure change or whatever causes the tailgate to lock again before you get round there - catches me every time (no pun intended) Very Happy Geoff

So are you after a micro strut to push the upper tailgate a couple of inches?
God knows I could do with that, not that I'm in the habit of running around the car trying to get in the boot.
My gripe is, you only have to nudge the tailgate as you grab it to open it and the Censored things latched up again Evil or Very Mad So I have then either got to zap it with the key, again, or open the whole car just to gain access Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad
I think that might be the next thing that I look in to, something to give it a wee nudge, so the bloody thing can't lock again without a shove Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Pete, the switch / latch release / handle for the upper tailgate does not work if your using the button on the key fob and the rest of the car is locked Shocked
Cleverly the alarm is switched off when the tailgate is opened using the key fob, and then it is switched back on when the tailgate is shut.
If I had 1 press total opening on the car then unlocking the whole thing and using the switch / handle would be the obvious way to go, but, I have the stupid anti, sanity, hijack american spec locking system, that requires 2 pulses of the button with a pause in between to open the whole car. Which truth be known usually requires at lest 4 goes on the Censored button to let me in, when I'm on site and working from the back of the car it is way easier to press the tailgate button Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Miggit, just a quick thought for you sir... I DONT use that tailgate opening button after opening it that way, accidentally dropping/or placing my keys in the boot, then closing the boot!!! In Cornwall!!! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Without a spare with me! Shocked Twisted Evil

Suffice to say, it was a long drive home in my fathers car to collect my spare! Luckily my wife had her house keys with her! Otherwise i would have had to put the window through to retrieve my keys Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed

This happened some 5 years into owning L322's!

You ALL have been warned Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed Bow down Thumbs Up

I ALWAYS check that the key is in my pocket before closing the boot, as I'm very aware that I'd be screwed if the lid was to drop with the key in there Thumbs Up
Just a thought, maybe you should keep a spare key at your parents, would save the 5 hour return trip Mr. Green Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Craig, at least it would have been their fault for not bringing the spare key Wink Cos if anyone knows you are likely to lock your key in the boot, it should be the person who knows you the best, your Mum Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Yep, the best bit of the IID is that within the CCF you can enable the center console replicator and make food, drink and anything else you want...... Whistle Whistle Whistle Pete

Bow down Bow down you must have the Star Trek Replicator Bow down Bow down
I asked for one of those on the option list, however I ended up with the Stargate one Evil or Very Mad

Quote:
In Star Trek a replicator is a machine capable of creating (and recycling) objects (Wikipedia)

Quote:
In the military science fiction series Stargate SG-1, the Replicators are antagonistic self-replicating machines that are driven to replicate by consuming both alloys and technologies (Wikipedia)
