2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

From bitter experience recently when I lost a wheel from my 90 while off road, on a night navigation run, in very deep mud I don't recommend using a battery powered hammer action drill as a windy hammer - they don't have sufficient torque or even enough battery power to get a wheel nut tight.............. or even 5 of them on one wheel it appears Whistle Whistle next additional weight extra to fit to the 90 - a compressor powerful enough to drive a pneumatic windy hammer...... when will buying all these "bitter experience" extras stop I seem to be caring half a service bay and half a 90 in spare parts these days when i go off into the hills for the weekend?

BTW does anybody know what the wheel nut torque for an L322 should be? 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

I always put my wheel nuts on with a rechargable impact gun, then torque them up with a bar. Thumbs Up

Having something to do with PSV vehicles and they guys from VOSA makes you a bit anal about things like that.

In theory yes. But don't do a daily defect check every day before I use the vehicle. Wink

Thanks for the torque, I thought it was that but haven't seen it anywhere - Defender and RRS are the same. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Something I learned from the master technician at the shop where I was working at 17. All steel (wheels, lugs) and a powerful impact gun/good compressor - then maybe, just maybe w/o a torque wrench after hitting each lug twice with the impact (and knowing that if the owner has a flat the ugly language will be thick). Otherwise always click each lug.

i used to do nuts up with a windy gun and got them done up with just the right torque, mind you 23 years in the tyre trade helped me judge how long to press the windy gun trigger..... ... - .- -.

Takla air jack Thumbs Up , high lifts are so dangerous if you have not been shown how to use properly.

It's about time LR designed a compressed air outlet into the boot so you can use compressed air tools and jacks using the car's own compressor off road 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

To be honest, I've only used it once on the RR and that was when I first got it (when I took the pics) so I can't remember where I jacked it from, I think from the jacking point below the doors. I need to whip the wheels off anyway to clean the dirt off wheel arch liners anyway, I'll try from the chassis and see if it lifts any higher. 2006 Mercedes CLS
