They had a pretty blue tinge on the bulb, but guess that was just cosmetic Rolling Eyes

i tried leds on my td6 but as the iidtool only does 30% and 60% ratings the leds wouldnt light up...now that could be down to the leds but i suspect it would be the same with all types.. ... - .- -.

Led's don't act like normal bulbs, they are either on or off and have a very small operating range when it comes to voltage, so I suspect that 30% and 60% the voltage is not high enough to light them, but they should work on the 100% setting, great for high beam, on much cop for muted DRL's

Stan, why would you want to operate your main beams at less than optimum output? We're not back to the we have street lights so I don't really need any thing Shocked

Tim, if when I've fitted them I find that I can't see, I'll go back to the eye hospital and complain Laughing and then rob the KC Daylighters off of the Jeep! Mr. Green Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Er ... I run LED's at 60% (well CREE's). They work at 30%/60% and obviously 100%. They are not binary lights as almost proposed above Smile Land Rover Addict

Hi Stan,

I started with normal LED's which were fine, just fancied CREE's in the end. Passed it's MOT yesterday (despite someone reversing into him and smashing the rear light cluster) with only the MOT charge of £30! Three advises - front brakes near limit (lights not on, so that can wait), and the famous 'misting on the rear shocks' x 2 which has been there for every MOT. Nothing about lighting Very Happy Land Rover Addict

it could be i was unlucky with the type of leds i got, it was about 5 years ago and they might have been '1st gen' or something..

re your tail lights ,my off side is slightly proud and the near side is nearly flush.. ... - .- -.

Ah regarding tail lights - mine are both 'inside' the bodyline, only one more than the other. As long as flush isn't the default state then I'll not worry. I can't compare it to the original as the 'glass' was removed for the MOT (would have failed otherwise). Land Rover Addict
