Anyone on here successfully get a dealer to complete a carbon cleaning under warranty?
If so what symptoms or errors needed to be present in order for it to be covered?
I am most likely going to go through an independent to clean the engine out but would like to know if I should even bother going through the dealer to attempt warranty coverage. https://instagram.com/_.iconoclast/

Not sure what has occurred to make you post although BG244 is a product you might be interested to read up on if not already heard about. I think some dealers use it.

For the cost of around £100 I'd personally get it terracleaned. I had mine done recently and it has made the world of difference

It won't be a dealer-covered item, no. If there is a problem then the dealer will resolve it, but they wouldn't do something pre-emptively.

5.0 is direct injection so terraclean or fuel tank cleaners won't work. The build up is on the back of valves and intake manifold and as injectors don't fire through there it's a waste of time. This is to my knowledge and I may be talking rubbish but I believe there are other systems similar to terraclean that flushes out manifold and carbon build up on valves.
Just had a look on the terraclean site and there is a system that goes through the manifold to clean out carbon maybe worth a try.
