Picked fatty up from Green Oval. Ended up having upper and lower bushes replaced on both sides. A little (ha! LOT ) lighter in the wallet but seeing as it took them 5 hours to do cos the bolts were seized I would probably be still at it. And now she has an MOT for another year. Happy days. 😊

found a little hidden feature today....... not very exciting, -but, when driving with low winter sun... I often have to play with the sun visors to hide the sun from my eyes. I pull it off its end mount, move it round to side, and often the other side too. and use the extra flap in front. - I like that a lot! however, I thought, -dam, its just not long enough..to hide the sideways sun.. if only it slid out along the swivel bar. -and it does.. just a few inches, but that's enough to carry on driving, without the sun in my eyes!

you can use this to bring the visors closer together in case at the traffic lights, are next to the direct sun too.

All I can do is look at mine,fast becoming an ornament for the second xmas period in a row.Needs work and just have no time to do it.Was going to do it over xmas until the workplace got 5 feet of floodwater !

Opened the sunroof and poured a litre of water down each of the 4 channel drains. Fortunately the water drained out below the car where it's supposed to. One less problem.

1 new vart i1 battery fitted this morning, the old yausa 3000 over Christmas had been playing up with hdc showing on start up. As I was ill over Christmas for 10 days the ffrr had not been used, so when it was time to go in it next time.....8 volts in the poor battery! After a 48 hour charge I thought all is good and recovered it.....oh how wrong i was, less than 5 days later it was flat again.....down to 0.85 volts! Battery just over 2 years old too, 😠 short trips are a killer for these fatties! If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

My coloured door handle covers arrived yesterday , so I did a loose fit-up on the drivers door last night .
The car is going to look much better after I install thdm this weekend !!!

Replaced the entire steering column since my old one decided to stop me turning the key in the ignition.

Jeez, that was an expensive replacement even doing it myself!

Removed, vacuumed and cleaned the mats before parcelling safely up until summer and fitted brand new and shiny genuine rubber mats. Was a bit disappointed when they arrived from the dealer in a Ford box though.

Next step, fit mud guards F & R.

Decided to replace the glue repaired intake with a replacement from a breaker. Easy 5 minutes, the next hour and a half was getting the broke of spigot un glued from the end of the hose so it could fit on the replacement. Got there in the end.
The inside of the old pipe has a lumpy texture whilst the new one is smooth. Also the elbow on the old one was almost rigid, new one flexed a lot more. Oh and poured some of the North Sea oil glut in to the tank!
