I have seen other people who have mistakenly or as a last resort tried a 'reset gearbox adaptions' and ended up having to replace the gearbox having killed it.

It might be an unrelated issue to the tranny problems you're having .

I put a new filter on the tranny about 6 months ago and have drained about 10 liters of zf out of it since then .
