Been meaning to get this done since I got the car about 5 months ago now, but finally got a couple of days spare to give it the once over.

Dual Action... Mostly used for sanding... the pad goes round and round but can stop rotating when you apply pressure and the pad oscillates as well.... |

As said, DA is a dual action polisher. The dual action is rotary combined with oscillations. The other type is a rotary, which as it suggests is just a rotary action.

Is that pic before or after you sanded down you whole car Pete? I seem to recall seeing you had taken to it with some wet and dry last year.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammerππ

I flatted the car with 2500 grit about a year ago, then hit it with G3 on a hard pad, then resin polish to fill in the swirls, only spent about 3 hours on the whole FF... it did look nice for a while... above photo is recent, it's had some abuse this last year.... Before Flatted Mopped and polished Probably got another couple of goes before the lacquer gets too thin.... Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() __________________________________________________ 2014 L405 Autobiography SDV8 4.4 Loire Blue Ebony interior -Click here for Thread- 2012 L322 Autobiography 5.0 Supercharged Ipanema Sand Sold 2011 L322 Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8 Baltic Blue.
