the Westie has an issue with the drivers dorr mirror.

When locking the RR the mirror closes but seems to be slower than the passenger side and does not close fully. It has a bit of slack in it. If I push it fully closed then when I unlock the FF the mirror will not open back up, but leave alone and it will

When operated from the door switch it closes fully and opens again with no problems as all.

Anybody had this ?? Regards

makes me think the battery is lacking power.....does this kinda happen when you first open up or when the FF has been run and warmed up a bit as well..

battery was fully charged just 2 days ago but might check to see what the C-Tek charger says in the morning. Another story that I am waiting for the selling dealer to get back to me on.

it happens every time I lock up. door switch is fine with just the ignition on (engine off) Regards

so the door switch is sending power to the mirror directly without problems , whereas the remote sends a signal to an ecu and that then sends the power to close/open which isnt working correctly...ecu?

Have you popped the cover off to have a look at the small metal arm on the micro switch? Could be thats it not fitted properly and the mirror isn't sure what position it is in.

Well it seems a good soak in WD40 and a few cycles of the mirrors and normal service seems to have been restored...... for now...... Bish.
