United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Mariana Black

Thanks SteveMFr,

A MKIV did indeed come along. £270..! subject to snow/backlog in depots, all items should be winging their way to me now..! I gather the DVD is a straight swap out. the Intravee I guess is swap leads around and replug. the only hard bit would be routing the ipod cable into the center cubby box..? Ash

2015 Range Rover Autobiography TDV6 Santorini Black

comports, I did this in the summer. My car also needed the plug to be re wired that originally connected to the CD player which I bought from a BMw dealer. All straight forward once I got this. My only watch out would be the removal of the air vent needed to remove the glove box. DONT follow some internet instuctions that say JUST PULL. There are some plastic spring clips on the inside and on each side of the airvent that you need to prise inwards with a small screwdriver to release the air vent. Dead simple once you know but as I say DONT just pull the air vent as I did. It will break and is £90 to replace.

Maybe it depends on what you find when you reach the back of the CD changer. Unfortunately there is no way to tell before you have stripped the car to gain access. Apparently more plugs are the correct ones vs are not but if you are anything like me sods law will apply. Again there is plenty written up on this search Range rover intervee install etc and you will get some very good step by step instuctions. Remember though, DONT pull the air vent !

PS - I dont have the part number for the plug but if you find you need one let me know and I will try and do a search to assist. BMW had them in stock for about 25p !

PPS - Have just reviewed the link in the above post and these contain the instructions if like me you had a 10 pin plug and what you neeed to do to rewire a new plug. I can confirm these are what I followed and all worked very well.

HI CMJ - Sods law applied to me also. I have it all stripped out and have the 10 pin plug..! Big Cry

Interestingly - it has a second plug attached in line just before the end. I unplugged this and it just happens to be the correct fit for the iBus connection

Any chance you could dig out some info for me to purchase the correct plug so i can re wire it.?

Thanks

Hi

I think it was item no 7

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mo...&fg=15

The drawing is not very good.

If the part number has been superceeded the BMW guys will know the replacement

You dont need to buy the pins and the instrcutions in the previous post above explain how to remove from the old plug to the new. Take your time and ensure you get them in the right order. Simple as that.

Added later : Have found some more instructions to assist. Let me know how you get on and if I can offer any more assistance
