Cleaning the MAP should be a standard maintenance item on every modern diesel IMHO. Its so easy to do. Here's what the Pug 407 Hdi MAP looked like before a clean.



Interestingly the MAF sensor on the Pug looks very similar to the 3.6 tdv8 MAF. ______________________________

Did the one on my disco 10000 ago and it was gummed up and am spurred on to do 4.4 now! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Just a thought, but have you checked the air filter element recently?
It looks to be running a bit rich to me, ?

I opened mine up for a good blast on the M62 last night and it was pulling like an express train,
I had the software mod done yesterday that cures the 80mph misfire and it feels much smoother right through the rev range.
Too fast for me now, I chickened out before I got to the summit.... G reg 2.5VM Vogue Portofino red 1991- 1999
