My 2011 L322 FF turns on the a/c and puts the heating on auto every time i start the engine.
I have looked in the handbook but cant see anything regarding turning it off.
Can it be done ?

Mines always on..... I would have thought it would keep the last setting when started up.... never tried....

It sort of remembers last setting. But can be a bit hit and miss.

While we're on the subject does anyone know what the lights in the middle of the blower knob signify?

One is auto fan and the other is auto distribution, ie face, feet etc. Can’t remember which. If you have both lit and you move the fan speed manually, the auto fan goes out, so you will know.... press the middle of the button to cycle through.... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

With temp set at 28c the heater will come on  2012 TDV8 Vogue SE 4.4

Yes but why the ac also on every time?
I turn off completely but iti is on at every start.
Wasnt same at 2006 2010 3.6tdv8 180k km.

Would prefer the default to be it off.

try putting it all in manual mode,

ac off
temp at 16
blower on one
direction of air flow to top

press memory button on seat [now this is probably nothing to do with the heat settings but try it]

run like this with the engine on for a few minutes..

stop,lock and hope it will be the same when you next enter... ... - .- -.

Yes, the rear climate.

As I'm sure you know, there's a button below the heating controls in the front where you can activate / deactivate the rear.

Would like mine to default to don't use rear if possible. What do I put here then?
