The problem with the LPG not working was traced to the main valve from the LPG tank being seized closed. A new valve has been fitted (which meant the tank had to be emptied to the atmosphere) and that problem is sorted.
However the "hot start" problem remains.
I have tried fitting a one way valve into the petrol feed line as suggested in another FFRR thread but this hasn't helped.

When should the petrol pump have a +12 on it ? All the time the ignition is turned on or only when the engine is cranking on the starter motor or running on its own ?
Cheers

Did you get lpg system checked? could have a leaky diaphragm or gas pressure needing set mine messed about with starting for ages until I replaced vaporiser and had pressures set mine was set too low and had to have pressure up a bit .After that no more problems .Not easy getting lpg mechanics who realy know what they are doing.my car had prins starting when hot as she was leaking gas into manifold hence flooding

Thanks for confirming that M@ttsFF, so there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the power getting to the petrol pump.

I didn't get the front end of the LPG checked. Perhaps that will be my next stop.
Thanks
