Australia 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Adriatic Blue

Yes, the centre console box is more like my '83 than my '86. As noted above, the '86 had a rubbing strip on the front mudguard.

Re hinges, my '86 had exposed hinges. Ron B. VK2OTC

Yes they hid them round 90 plus dropped indicators to near front lights on the side of the wings

Last mot says it had done 10072 miles and passed in 2008.

I do remember Land Rover doing a 4 door version prototype in the 70’s but can’t remember what year. I’ve seen a photo too.

Ireland 2015 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey

I sent the seller a message asking about its heritage and this is his answer,

hi. of course. my lads have changed much over the years. think that body was changed 1986.
it' clearly a project, & if you are going to be looking for compliance with "historic" then there needs to be a lot of work.
by the by, we can't find a chassis number, but I'm told many early rr did not have one, just the factory plate.
it's reg 1972, & if you can find it @ dvla, original no. SPD 543L.
cheers

I'm sure some of those letters after the name are made up. If not I think we can invent some meanings Rolling with laughter

So it's not an original car, has had both a shell and engine swap, has no chassis number, and on a private plate.
Wouldn't be my first choice if I was looking Shocked Too many toys, not enough time

I've got a much straighter, although still a project, 1987 TD four door that I'm selling soon. I'll be happy to get half of what he's asking.

£1.5k was what I gave for my tatty 88 Turbo D RRC, and it came with best part of a years Mot too... the only thing that makes that RRC worth that much is if it is a "Genuine 1973" as it's free tax and test! But I still reckon that it's a ringer, it might not be of stolen origin, but of doubtful legality... it only takes one copper who knows his Range Rovers and you could be in a pile of poo! Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... On the bright side of things, I don't think we have to worry about some poor sole getting ripped off..... If they buy it at that price they deserve it Whistle Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
