The car seems to wheel spin the front wheel very easily, when turning, this in turn activates the traction control light briefly.

Just been out for a spin and when cornering hard right, there is a grabbing-like the ABS kicking in.

Do i have a duff sensor or could it be CV related?

This sounds like the known problem of the centre diff grabbing, for which the cure is flushing the transfer case then recalibrating it.

Well today I was trying quite hard-I would normally drive like that but at least it was on an airfield

It a bit odd really, as I also get front wheel spin quite a bit too (might just be the crap tyres that are worn bald on the edges).

A double oil change for the TC then invoke self-calibration using a diagnostic tool, so not expensive. However if the apparent fault occurs in a straight line then not a TC problem.

So Graeme, I took it out this afternoon and the traction control activated while accelerating (gently) in a straight line......

What does that mean then

Activating on gentle straight-line acceleration - assuming that all tyres are the same size then it is sounding like a faulty ABS sensor that's producing more pulses than it should be. Can you feel the steering pulling one way or the other, suggesting a front wheel that is grabbing?

Wasn't being very gentle-if I drive REALLY gently its OK.

If I boot from say 30 it will flicker the traction light. I think, its the left front that grabs.

However, as I said on the PM, the tyres are bald on the outer 1/4 of all tyres and i am beginning to think with the weight of the car its just starting a little slide.
