owners of IID tool...does it show DPF information? - UPDATE

Esteemed IID owners,

Please can you tell me if there is any menu option or parameter(s) related to the DPF?

I have just replaced the DPF in my car (I have a whole separate thread on that!), but as others suggested, the cars ECU still throws out the DPF full message (with restricted performance) and WILL until the error is cleared by a suitable tool.

Now I thought that it was going to be straightforward ....clear all errors and off we go. But it has been suggested to me that it is NOT that simple and that you can't just clear the error, you have to "programme" the ECU with some basic parameters to tell it that it has a new DPF fitted.... Sad

(please no comments about regenerations / read the manual / etc etc - this isn't about that - we are way beyond that) - I just want to know will clearing all error codes be enough after fitting the DPF or is there a "set up" procedure for a new DPF in the diagnostics)

Thanks

I am a novice with the iid tool, but will plug mine in and take a screenshot of any mention of DPF that I can find.
Hope you get it sorted soon.

thanks Stan.

does it look like those parameters are user changeable or is it just read only of the live data?

The pressure sensor one I understand - and perhaps doesn't worry me - it will be measuring the live delta between pressure fore and aft of the DPF - in other words "how blocked is the DP? / what is the current back pressure"

The interesting one is the "remaining volume" - that I wonder if that has to be re-programmed to a value somehow.

If any one knows or can help...

Many Thanks.

spoke briefly to support at GAP. They confirmed that the current firmware on the IID DOESN'T change / clear DPF data but they can talk me through upgrading it so that it does!!

What nice chaps! Thumbs Up

not yet Stan.

Patrick at GAP said he would give me instructions once I had received my unit - ( Dan @Duckworths is sending me one tomorrow.)

Never used the tool myself so don't know where he will go with it - presumably new firmware.

DPFs are a ticking time bomb thats for sure.

- clearly a great marketing scam to secure even more future maintenance revenues from drivers.

happy days...I have a car that works again!

Got to say the guys at GAP are awesome in their customer support! Bow down

( I should add that the special build 2351 isn't a certified release yet.. - so use it for other things at your own risk Shocked )

Resurrecting an old thread.

Is the DPF reset a min menu item yet because it would encourage me to buy an IID Tool if it is.

Thanks

Last i looked a few months ago, the folk at GAP havent done any software updates for quite some time. 😒

When they did the special version for me i immediately reverted back to standard release after doing the job.
